*2 folder that impact load speed are only added as a base directory to daz when needed. *1 keeping the essential stuff separate also making fixing file issue easier and can be reinstalled things get corrupted.

  • Content from other store (not managed by DIM).
  • Expressions & poses (have huge impact on load speed *2).
  • Morphs & shapes (have huge impact on load speed *2).
  • Characters (have huge impact on load speed *2).
  • My contents (stuff I made that need to be backed up).
  • In terms of organising library I keep thing in seperate folder like: The rest of items in my essential folder are tools (tools are the best value for money you can buy IMO): Obviously starter essential, body morph, head morph and expressions for all generations, I'm still curious though to know what your favorite, most useful, and must have assets are?. There's still a lot I have to learn, and there's no doubt this is far from the last time I'll be starting from scratch. And most of the time it's done intentionally just so their products show up higher on the library before everything else or is on it's own just to make sure you see it every damn time you browse through your assets. I don't want extra icons clogging things up, and I don't want to continuously delete them manually. None of that extra underscore dummy files and random BS creators put in it, or any additional links of any kind. I just wish there was only one universally accepted file path all content had to strictly follow. And I'm not comfortable editing content parameters within DAZ itself. If I started adding multiple folders for different creators, shops, and other categories, I'd be scared that DAZ wouldn't be able to find it. Which is as straight forward as you can get. If it's not, I unzip it and manually move all the sub-folders into the main daz studio content folder.

Regardless of who the creator is, which shop it came from, or whether it's a free item or not, if it's a DIM compatible file I stick it in the DIM install folder. So I've always tried to keep things as straight forward as possible. I have learning, memory, and reading comprehension disabilities due to Aspergers AKA anorexic autism, and it doesn't take much for me to feel overwhelmed and lost. My problems mostly stem from being paranoid and simple minded. Honestly, I could go on and on about the asset mess I had created over the past couple of years, there just isn't enough hours in the day to do so :-P.įeel free to give examples of how you have everything organized, and methods someone can use to correct annoying morphs!? Characters often don't load up like they should or just don't look quite right. I also always have troubles with things like morphs too. A lot of content creators seem to intentionally label their products so they show up in places they shouldn't.

And don't really know how to edit things and assets when they do go wrong. I'm the worst when it comes to organization. I've tried to tweak such issues in the past, but I'm pretty sure I'm doing it in the most incorrect of ways. Maybe if it wasn't external it might be a little better.Īnd I've def run into the automatic morph issues. Once larger capacity SSD's come down to prices I'm comfortable paying I'll pick one up. No, I keep everything on an external 4TB hard drive, which is the worst way imaginable of storing things. There are plenty of places to talk politics, this is not that place. Let's keep this subreddit free of political posts and drama. Do not link to or request links to any site advocating piracy or selling stolen assets. If it's not Daz related there's sure to be a subreddit for that discussion.
